OSS for entrepreneurs: FreeCAD

FreeCAD is a technical drawing and modeling software that is suitable for two- and three-dimensional work in virtual space.

FreeCAD is suitable for use by both home users with a 3D printer, digital artists, and professional draftsmen, constructors, architects, and designers - both as a main tool and as a handy auxiliary program.

The LGPL license for FreeCAD’s open source software does not restrict its use, nor does it place restrictions on the number of workstations or the nature of the work. It also does not require authorization, validation, or use cloud services.

Marek T3hh will introduce the FreeCAD software as part of the Free Software Day initiative at the Tartu Hackerspace on Thursday, September 17th. The presentation will be in Estonian.
