SUMMARY:How to run a hackerspace 2.0
DESCRIPTION:Hackerspace is a community\, where people with similar interest
s and world views meet to share knowledge and experience from computer sci
ence\, electronics\, machines\, etc and build something new. Hackerspace
’s mission is to promote a hacker culture that enriches social life\, th
e use and development of free and open-source software\, and to think outs
ide the framework of formal education\, which encourages innovation.\nThan
ks to this\, many students have joined our community\, who find new applic
ations of the knowledge they acquired at the university in the hacker room
\, which makes the hacker room a useful cooperation partner for the univer
sity. Based on this\, the theme of our upcoming event is how to manage a h
ackerspace in a way that most effectively helps achieve these mission-base

SUMMARY:Two stars on the same day
DESCRIPTION:In the history of humankind\, there are very rare occasions whe

SUMMARY:Raspberry Pi & CTF
DESCRIPTION:Cyber defence competitions such as Capture the Flag (CTF) have
become increasingly popular around the world in recent years. There are ma
ny reasons: the demand for cybersecurity is constantly increasing\, the CT
F online platforms provide an opportunity for everyone in the world to par

SUMMARY:Dark patterns of digital
DESCRIPTION:We are living in a strange world. It’s a world of 24/7 news c
ycle and social media coverage but somehow feels more uninformed and isola
ted than ever before. We have the best knowledge under our fingertips but
the public discussion is locked often around half-truths and white (or not
even so white) lies\, well manipulated by big corporations\, media organi
sations and by our own our political leadership. We have almost unlimited
access to the best music\, art and movies but our media feed is dominated
by the endless stream of stupid memes\, conspiracy theories and AI slop. I

SUMMARY:Dark Patterns of Digital: Pleonexia
DESCRIPTION:We see digital economy booming but somehow we hardly can taste
its fruits. On contrary\, digitalisation has promised exponential increase
of efficiency but turns out we actually have to work harder now\, often d
oing things we have no skills or deeper knowledge. A clear separation betw
een the work and private life is disappearing and we find ourselves making
phone calls from dinner table or writing emails from our bed. Even weirde
r\, despite the increasing value of digital economy\, the provided service
s are getting worse\, not better. At the same rate\, we are getting more v
ulnerable and our future is becoming increasingly uncertain. Where does th
e wealth disappear to\, how does digital economy erupt our fundamental eco

DESCRIPTION:This is not an ordinary party where all the world’s problems
fade into oblivion in a carefree mood. It is a call to stand up for your o
wn and everyone else’s rights in cyberspace. Do you sometimes feel a nag
ging feeling that the big companies that rule the internet like Google\, M

have you ever thought about how unpleasant a day could be when you discove
r one morning that your email and social media accounts have been hijacked
and a cybercriminal has stolen every last euro from your bank account? Th
is leads to the inevitable realization that in today’s cyberspace\, you
are no longer a person to them\, but a digital product with your data that
can be resold to others. But this can and must be fought against!\nIf thi
s topic is important to you\, come to the cryptoparty\, where hackerspace

better protect your privacy and data in cyberspace. Linux\, Signal\, Tor B

SUMMARY:Breaking Crypto with Power Analysis
DESCRIPTION:Ever wondered how a tiny ripple in a device’s power line can
betray its secrets and break cryptographic implementations? This workshop
journeys from the idea of side-channel leakage to the classic attacks that
exploit it. We will build an intuitive picture of SPA\, DPA\, and CPA\, l
ook at what a good power trace looks like\, and discuss sampling\, trigger
ing\, and noise so that the waveforms you collect are meaningful. After th
e concepts\, we will demonstrate how to capture real traces using the Chip
Whisperer Nano platform. You will see how small variations correlate with
internal operations\, why alignment matters\, and how simple mistakes can
drown your signal. If you bring a laptop with a USB port\, you can follow
and try the hands-on exercises on site using the ChipWhisperer Nano hardwa
re. No prior hardware-hacking experience is required. If you have written

DESCRIPTION:Most people think spy gadgets are cool! Well\, we have some of
those. A cable that seems like a regular charger but quietly takes over yo
ur phone. A tiny adapter that grants remote shell access the moment it is
plugged in. A small box that enough to fit in your pocket\, yet powerful e
nough to breach a network from across the street.\nThis workshop will expl
ore the world of covert hacker hardware used for computer\, phone and netw
ork exploitation. We will look at how these gadgets work\, in what conditi
ons we can use them\, and how physical access often changes the entire att
ack story. You will see real devices in action\, learn how they are config
ured\, controlled and understand the principles behind the scene.\nThe ses
sion will include live demos\, opportunities for questions and discussion\
, and a close look at gadgets that blur the line between ordinary accessor
ies and powerful intrusion tools. Please bring potential targets\, like ol
der unused smart phones or laptops\, against which payloads can be used an
d tested.\nThe event will be held in English.\n

the foremost symbol of freedom of information. It has articles in most lan
guages in the world and the website is visited by millions of people a day
. You\, me and almost everybody has from time to time relied on it as the
first source of information\, gathered and edited by volunteers around the
world.\nNow you will have an excellent opportunity to give your share int
o this international collaborative project. We are going to make a worksho
p\, where you can create a Wikipedia article(s) on your favourite topic gu
ided by a leading expert in the field - Wikimedia Eesti CEO Ivo Kruusamäg
i\, who will show you how it is professionally done based on Wikipedia rul
es and best practices. So\, take your friend\, laptop with you and let’s
do it!\nThe second part of the workshop is dedicated to practice and will
focus on how to edit\, format\, validate and publish texts on Wikisource.
As an example to work on\, a collection of works by Oskar Luts is provide
 d. Of course\, you can also work on other texts or upload digital copies o
f other works which are free to use on Wikisource. For the latter\, we wil

SUMMARY:Mass Surveillance and State Control in the Digital Age
DESCRIPTION:On Wednesday evening we will watch a documentary that shows how
modern technology allows the creation of a highly effective system of sur

large-scale data processing\, and what impact this has on society\, human
groups\, families and individuals. This film is not only a story about rea

his system increasingly capable. Privacy will soon no longer be a right\,
but is becoming an extremely expensive commodity. But fortunately\, there
are hackers who value privacy and anonymity\, with whom you can try to see

SUMMARY:OpenStreetMap - a free and open map alternative
DESCRIPTION:Nowadays it is easy to determine one’s location or navigate t
o a destination using maps and apps provided\, e.g.\, by Google\, Apple or
Microsoft. However\, we tend to forget that every time we use those tools
\, we send data about our location to their owning companies. Further\, us
age of their services is limited to their apps or web platforms\, and thus
requires an internet connection. Finally\, we rely on the correctness and
accuracy of their data\, and cannot directly make changes in case we noti
ce any errors or necessary updates.\nFortunately\, there is an alternative
. In this talk\, we will show you OpenStreetMap (OSM) - a free and open da
tabase of geographic data. It is used by various free and open application
s\, including\, but not limited to\, online and offline maps\, navigation
and geocoding. Moreover\, it is possible to download the raw data as well\
, and convert it to numerous formats for specific use cases. The first par
t of the presentation will show you some OSM based applications and tools
for using OSM data\, in particular focused on maps and navigation.\nFurthe
rmore\, OSM allows everybody to edit and contribute to the existing data\,
and changes enter the database in real time. This allows making correctio
ns and additions to the existing data\, which propagate into the aforement
ioned applications as soon as they request the updated data from the OSM d
atabase. The second part of the presentation thus focuses on editing OSM d
ata\, giving an overview of existing editing tools\, and then showing JOSM
  in more detail.\n

SUMMARY:Pirate Party and its bug fixes
DESCRIPTION:There is a political vacuum among Estonian hackers\, meaning th
ere is no unified political movement that would give Estonian hackers the
power to steer Estonia in the right direction in their fields. The Estonia
n Pirate Party has been inactive since 2019\, and in order to give pirate
politics a second chance\, I have compiled a list of changes based on the
experience of Czech pirates that should be made to correct previous mistak
es.\nMeet the revived Pirates party\, which is no longer a meta-party.\nTh

DESCRIPTION:Come to hackerspace to put the function-based cyber risk manage

avior through six core functions—based on data flows—and links them to
threats within operational environments. Following a brief theoretical ov
erview\, we will interactively dissect well-known cyberattacks: analyzing
how the attacks were executed and testing the method against real-world in

SUMMARY:Pancake Evening
DESCRIPTION:For far too long\, pancakes have been the star of pancake morni

rly\, with or without the promise of pancakes. Most activity at the Hacker
space also takes place in evenings\, which is why we have taken it upon us
to make pancakes at a time accessible to night owls too.\nWe will make pa
ncakes from 6 PM for as long as there is demand. Both sweet and savory top
pings will be provided and we will give our best to hack a pancake into on
e perfect for you. This is the perfect event to meet the hackers at the sp
ace in a free and relaxed environment\, and also eat lots of pancakes.\nTh
